SUMMARY
- The ₹50 crore figure comes from one Shark Tank India deal, ₹1 crore for 2%. It’s a 2023 price, not an audited or current valuation.
- FY22 revenue was about ₹6.7 crore. Tracxn now lists ₹10 crore to ₹50 crore, so ₹50 crore implies a much lower multiple today.
- No verified 2026 valuation or net worth is public. Sanity-check any figure against revenue multiples before you repeat it.
Search for Nish Hair valuation and one number follows you everywhere: ₹50 crore. Headlines repeat it. Net worth sites repeat it. The founder herself repeated it, with obvious joy, the day the cheque landed.
So what is Nish Hair actually worth in 2026? The honest answer is more interesting than the headline. That ₹50 crore was never a valuation report. It was arithmetic from a single deal on a single day, and the business has moved since then.
Let’s pull the number apart.
Where the ₹50 crore comes from
On the Shark Tank India Season 2 finale, Parul Gulati, the actor who founded Nish Hair in 2017, asked for ₹1 crore for 2%. Do the maths and you get ₹50 crore (₹1 crore divided by 0.02). That’s the post-money valuation, the company’s value once the new money is in. The pre-money figure works out to ₹49 crore.
Aman Gupta and Vineeta Singh offered ₹1 crore for 3%, DNA reported. Amit Jain, co-founder of CarDekho, matched her original ask at 2%, and she took his deal. Afterwards she posted a photo with the cheque and wrote that she had “made it” with her business, as IANS reported.

Here’s the catch. A price paid by one investor isn’t a certified valuation. It’s what one person was willing to pay for 2% at that moment, with a TV audience watching. What the business looked like when it priced itself
At the time of the pitch, Nish Hair reportedly closed FY22 at about ₹6.7 crore in revenue with a 30% net margin, and projected roughly ₹15 crore for FY23, according to Shark Tank India Club. A RealShePower profile reports similar figures: close to ₹7 crore, then a projected jump to ₹15 crore.
That tells you what ₹50 crore meant in revenue terms. On ₹6.7 crore, it’s about 7.5x revenue. On the ₹15 crore projection, it’s about 3.3x. The investor was effectively betting that growth would shrink that multiple fast. Whether the price was rich or fair depends on whether the growth showed up.
The funding record since the show
Public records on the money are thin. Tracxn lists one seed round for Nish Hair, dated 24 April 2024, from GirnarSOFT, the parent company of CarDekho. The amount is undisclosed. Caplight shows the same April 2024 seed round, total funding of $120,000 and a third-party estimated valuation of $6 million.
Neither site discloses the deal terms. But a $120,000 total lines up with a ₹1 crore cheque, so this looks like the Shark Tank money closing rather than a fresh raise. That’s our reading, not something either site states.
What has clearly changed is the size of the team. YourStory reported an all-women team of 35 and 45 SKUs in early 2024. Tracxn now lists 51 employees as of 31 March 2026. It also places annual revenue between ₹10 crore and ₹50 crore as of 31 March 2025, a band wide enough to drive a truck through.
So what does ₹50 crore imply today?
Take the 2023 price as fixed and see how the revenue multiple moves:
| Annual revenue | What a ₹50 crore price implies |
|---|---|
| ₹6.7 crore (FY22, pitch) | about 7.5x revenue |
| ₹10 crore | 5x |
| ₹15 crore (FY23 projection) | about 3.3x |
| ₹25 crore | 2x |
| ₹50 crore | 1x |
Read the table sideways. The higher Nish Hair’s real revenue, the lower the multiple a ₹50 crore price implies. That means the old number may undersell a bigger business, or it may simply be stale. Nobody outside the company can say which, because Nish Hair is private and we couldn’t find audited figures published anywhere.
So what is it worth in 2026? Our honest answer: ₹50 crore is the last number with a clear source. Everything since is an estimate. Valuation isn’t net worth
Many people searching “Nish Hair valuation” really want Parul Gulati’s net worth. They’re different things. A company’s valuation doesn’t land in the founder’s bank account, especially while profits get reinvested. Growthscribe makes the same point and notes that no verified net worth figure exists publicly.
Tracxn’s estimated cap table, as of April 2024, shows founders holding 87.30%. That’s an estimate, but it fits the story: selling 2% for ₹1 crore left almost the whole company with her. You can see how little a small sale moves a cap table in our Funding Round Dilution Calculator.
What founders can take from the deal
Three things stand out.
First, the size of the sale. Two percent for ₹1 crore kept control where it was. Second, the investor mattered beyond the cash. Gulati credited Amit Jain’s team with lending her their payment gateway when hers ran into trouble, per IANS. Third, the ₹50 crore headline has done years of marketing work. It’s now the first thing anyone says about the brand.
But treat a headline valuation as a price, not a verdict. This is a category built on trust, with products that range from about ₹1,100 for a single strand to ₹36,000 for fuller coverage, per YourStory. Repeat buyers will decide whether Nish Hair grows into its number, not a TV moment.
Gulati has said she’s married to acting and that Nish Hair is “my baby.” Both jobs keep running, and the numbers will tell us how well.

Three things to take away:
- Treat ₹50 crore as a 2023 deal price, not a certified or current valuation of Nish Hair.
- Check any valuation claim against revenue: ₹50 crore is 7.5x on ₹6.7 crore but only 1x on ₹50 crore.
- Remember that company valuation and founder net worth are different numbers, and neither has a verified public figure.
